Hello fellow wellness practitioner,
I have an unwavering core belief that you can have a successful career doing the wellness work that you love. I’m living proof that it is possible—I have a yoga-related business with a healthy bottom line and a career that is exactly tailored to suit my interests.
That’s why I started Mindful Marketing—to help wellness practitioners like you create sound, viable careers.
No matter how successful you are at marketing, it is difficult to create a sustainable and financially stable career by just teaching yoga classes or just doing private sessions. To create a long-lasting career, you need a business with diversity as well as a range of products and services, from low-cost to high-end.
That’s why I’m offering the Training the Trainer course —a ready-to-use program to help you successfully lead the Coping With Stress seminar in corporate settings. The program has everything you need to immediately begin corporate stress management training—no assembly required.
This course is offered two times a year, is limited to 20 students per class. However, the course is only available to participants in the US and Canada.
Next class starts Thursday, October 2, 2008.
Class starts Thursday, October 2, via conference call from 12:30-1:30 est and runs for the next five Thursdays in a row. We will also stay connected through an online virtual classroom. If you can’t make the conference call time, no worries—you can listen to the recording.
The Problem
My wish for you has always remained consistent:
May you have a sustainable and prosperous wellness career that supports you and your loved ones, providing you with both economic and spiritual sustenance as you bring your healing work to others.
I’ve spent a great deal of time thinking about how I can help you do just that.
Most of us in the wellness world do what we do because we are drawn to it—it is our calling. My calling is teaching yoga. We do not become yoga teachers or wellness practitioners in order to get rich quick. We do it because it makes a difference—in our lives and in the lives of our clients.
We all want a spiritually fulfilling, financially stable career. But the reality is that many wellness practitioners consistently feel the weight of worry that comes from a lack of financial security. Vacations have an undertone of unease because when you don’t work, the money stops. It’s tough, if not impossible, to save money for retirement. And you experience a mental tug-of-war between sticking with the work you love and getting a “real job” that will pay the bills and provide health insurance.
Then, when you decide to stick with the work you love, you find ways to justify your financial issues, along the lines of “Oh, but I don’t need much” or “I don’t do this work for the money” or “I trust that the money will come.” Any of those statements sound familiar?
You would not tolerate these working conditions as an employee in any company, yet many of us put up with this reality when we serve as our own boss.
The Solution
Doing work you love is fulfilling and gratifying. Add to that a solid bottom line and you have a winning combination—a career that can sustain your heart, soul, and household.
Doing one thing (like teaching yoga) does not generate enough revenue and is not diversified enough to create a sustainable full-time career.
We often tell ourselves that if we only work harder, smarter, or better to fill our practice, then we will thrive. Well, when you have a full practice, can you get away on vacation? Can you take a day off when you need it? Are you rushing from place to place all the time? “Success” can breed its own type of exhaustion. Balance is the key.
Having a diversified mix of products and services—including a high-end product—creates long-term viability for your wellness career.
After much thought, and spending a great deal of time putting the pieces together, I have developed a way to help solve the financial problem many wellness practitioners face. This solution will allow you to remain true to your heart’s passion: become a wellness trainer in the corporate world.
I speak from experience. Along with being a yoga teacher, I’m a corporate trainer. I’ve trained hundreds of corporate employees to manage stress, work with more ease, and get clear on how to balance life and work.
I’m here to help you do the same—to make the transition from teaching in a studio space to training in a corporate space. I know, I know—you dread the confines of the corporate cubicle. But here’s your opportunity to improve the lives of cubicle dwellers!
What does that look like? You might choose to
Lead a lunch-and-learn session on relaxation techniques
Run a half-day training program on managing stress
Facilitate a full-day program on work/life balance.
Rather than re-creating the wheel, you can get a running start on corporate training by using an already-assembled, complete system—supported by my in-depth training and mentoring—that will make it easy for you to run training programs on stress management in corporations and organizations.
It’s called the Training the Trainer Program(T3 for short).

This course gave me a completely new perspective on how to cope with stress, and the interface with satisfaction. It also gave me creative and practical ways to increase my business offerings and the support to market my skills in the new venue of the corporate world. It helped me to transfer yogic values into an immediately useful business model to bring into the world.
I now feel ready to set goals that include making a salary worthy of my skills. It boosted my confidence about approaching new markets, (eg: manufacturing, business, and health centers), places that I would not previously have considered simply offering yoga classes. I learned a new vocabulary that helped me understand methods for dealing with marketing and sales--it opened a whole new world for me.
Megan's instant communication and feedback on so many aspects of becoming business savvy are simply amazing. Her knowledge of the material, and her depth of experience are all offered in a joyous manner. Her positive attitude is infectious and it energized me to see my work in a wholly different manner.

I really jumped into this course thinking it would be a great next step for me and not knowing what to expect. The way Megan integrated all the components of the course challenged me to learn in a new way and inspired confidence. The continued mentoring and access to our classroom provides much needed and appreciated support.
I felt Megan paid good attention to how we were receiving and understanding the material and used that feedback as she progressed through the course.
Megan, thank you for introducing me to a brave new world. One of the many things I enjoyed and found helpful was hearing about some of your professional experiences. Your teaching style is both nurturing and supportive while keeping us on task—a very good balance.
The Curriculum
The topics we’ll cover in the 6-week Training the Trainer program include:
How people learn
How to work with groups
How to handle difficult behaviors
How to set up the training room
Seminar preparation, including a comprehensive checklist of what to bring
Using the Coping & Stress Profile® in the training program
How to score and interpret the Coping & Stress Profile®
Teaching the four key coping resources: problem solving, communication skills, closeness, and flexibility
How to help your participants make lasting changes through an action plan
Review of the presentation material and how to use it in the seminar
How to integrate your talents and specialties into the program
Using sales material and networking to get training opportunities.
I became more committed to working with my own coping styles—the areas where I need development. I became more confident about marketing all of my work, not just this program. I gained specific keys to help me going forward as I move into the corporate work.
The program expanded my ideas about what I can do and how I can do it. I am in a career transition, and I feel more confident going forward with what I have to offer, both with the Coping with Stress program and other skills that I have. I have become more committed and willing to work with others to share resources and provide support.
Great depth. Good value for the cost.
Megan modeled her teaching method for us, which was very helpful. She also adjusted the program as we went along when she recognized the need.
I've already been much more enthusiastic about getting out and talking with people about this work. I'm also collaborating more with others and seeking out organizations and individuals to create a network--I've never been comfortable with this, and I'm finding that I'm much more comfortable now.
The Value of the Course
Investing in a course is a big financial decision. Let’s break out the individual components of the course so you can see the value of what you are getting. If you bought the pre-packaged course material directly from the manufacturer (Inscape Publishing), here’s what you would pay:
Facilitation Kits: $600
Coping with Stress EPIC online assessment: $31
EPIC sub account: $140
Shipping/taxes: averages $40
That's $811 for the pre-packaged material.
Then comes the individualized component—how to translate that curriculum into paid work. Without that component, the fancy facilitator kit becomes a dusty bookend. That part of the curriculum I developed.
My usual fees for the individual components are:
6 weeks of virtual training: $1000
Editing of your customized proposal (biography, client list and benefits): $300
Mentoring for one year: $1200
That makes the combined value of the program $3311. The value you are receiving is much greater than the cost.
The Logistics
The course is limited to 20 people. Course participants will meet via conference call. If you cannot make the call time, you can listen to the class recording. You will not have any travel expenses for training, just the cost of a long-distance call. However, the course is only available to participants in the US and Canada.
We will connect between conference calls using our virtual classroom. You will have homework, reading material, and a chance to complete the online Coping & Stress Profile® assessment yourself in order to better understand the context of the training. I’ll also have open office times when you can call me to discuss specific issues, questions, or concerns.
Based on my training experience, that investment will be paid for the very first time you do a corporate training program.
As always, I want this course to be the right fit for you, so your investment is covered by a money-back guarantee. If the program isn’t meeting your needs after the first conference call, simply ask for and receive a full refund. All I ask is that the returned material be in brand-new condition (i.e. no writing, ripped or folded pages, etc.) so I can re-use it.
Class starts Thursday, October 2, via conference call from 12:30-1:30 est and runs for the next five Thursdays in a row.
The program that Inscape provides allowed me an opportunity to learn about myself and my own coping mechanisms. Megan as a facilitator provided a safe, supportive learning environment which she has agreed to continue throughout the year. (I really feel blessed!!) Megan took us through the many steps one needs to address when starting a business and recognized we are more than Yoga teachers, something many do not see, even ourselves. Much still to learn, she taught me new computer skills.
I have found a new sense of pride in whatever role. I also feel more confident to be able to take my experience as a Yoga Instructor into the business world. I have also found my Yoga teaching a bit more open to offer examples of every day life. I am excited to step into the role of Stress Management Consultant as I am to step into the role of Yoga teacher. The two really do compliment one another and my life as a whole. Megan has also given me more courage to tackle the computer.”
